Dr. Budi Kusnoto obtained his master’s degree in oral sciences with a specialty certificate in orthodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 1998. He completed his fellowship at the UIC Craniofacial Center in 1999 and also has a degree in computer science.
Since 2005, Dr. Kusnoto has served as the Program and Clinic Director at UIC’s prestigious orthodontic specialty program. Dr. Kusnoto has always been very passionate about education and enjoys the opportunity to teach the future generation of orthodontists. While at UIC, Dr. Kusnoto has assisted with the implementation of digital technology in the Department of Orthodontics. He has also been actively involved in research and teaching on the subject of diagnosis and treatment planning utilizing 3D imaging technology.
Dr Kusnoto joined 1st Family Dental and Midwest Orthodontics Center as an orthodontist in 2016. In 2018, he became the head of the orthodontic division at Midwest Orthodontics, as well as an orthodontic consultant for the company. As the head of the orthodontic division, Dr. Kusnoto is committed to ensuring and delivering the highest quality of orthodontic care for the patients at Midwest Orthodontics, as per the standard of the American Board of Orthodontists.
With 20 years of experience as a clinician, researcher, and teacher in the orthodontic profession, Dr Kusnoto’s expertise combining cutting edge technology with evidence-based treatment is a great addition to the Midwest Orthodontics team. Using remote tele-dentistry, as well as the latest in 3D imaging, Dr Kusnoto and the Midwest Orthodontics team are able to develop the most effective, accurate, and individualized orthodontic treatment and care available.
Dr. Kusnoto is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Illinois Society of Orthodontists, Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, Chicago Dental Society, and American Dental Association.
