Dr. Sameer Al-Obaidi holds a Master’s in Public Health with interdisciplinary concentration in maternal and child health from the University of Texas Health Science Center. He received recognition from the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health founded at Johns Hopkins University. He then pursued a research fellowship in orthodontics at the Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University, where he also completed his orthodontics residency culminating in a Master of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate in Orthodontics. He was selected as one of the finalists from the United States and Canada for the 2023 Eugene L. Gottlieb JCO Student of the Year award presented by American Orthodontics.
Dr. Sameer has a profound passion for orthodontics, finding joy in the transformative impact it has on patients’ lives. He appreciates the problem-solving aspects of orthodontics and stays at the forefront of advancements in orthodontic techniques and technology. He is professionally trained to provide orthodontic treatment using conventional fixed appliances, various clear aligner systems (Invisalign, OrthoFX, Spark), LightForce, KLOwen, DIBS indirect bonding, temporary anchorage devices, and 3D imaging. He has extensive training in surgical orthodontics and is well versed in multidisciplinary team care. Active as a researcher affiliated with Boston University, he participated in twin studies in orthodontics. He presented several research projects in orthodontics and public health.
Dr. Al-Obaidi is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association o Orthodontists, the National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA)) and the Delta Omega Public Health Honorary Society. When not working, Dr. Al-Obaidi enjoys tennis, sculpting, drawing, horse riding and sailing”
